The company is involved in manufacturing of Sponge Iron, Steel Ingots (Billets) and generation of Power. The company has multiple manufacturing processes which include Kiln operations, Power operations, Furnace operations etc. We source raw material from, primarily Iron ore, Coal from mines. We also use multiple types of chemicals and additives for conversion of iron ore to sponge iron. We use sponge iron for selling to customers as well as captive consumption for making steel ingots. Currently a Rs 100 crores organization, VGL is enhancing capacities of all its products by more than 300% by June 2007 and is looking at a aggressive growth plans of a same quantum in the next 2-3 years.
