Van Vliet Automotive Group was founded in 1953 by Mr. B.C. van Vliet. The family-owned business is currently run by three of the founder’s sons and a grandson. The Van Vliet Automotive Group is the umbrella organisation for a number of independent operating companies so they can function efficiently and keep the lines to the customer as short as possible. The main subsidiary in Holland is Van Vliet Trucks Holland B.V. Because the number of exported vehicles to the Middle East increased the Van Vliet Automotive Group started to set up their business in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, in January 2004.
In March 2005 the construction of the office of 300 m2, a warehouse of 2.000 m2 and the yard of 20.000 m2 in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) of Dubai was finished.
At this moment Van Vliet Trucks Middle East has 20 employees, including Mr. Yasir Faisal Ibrahim, who is the managing director of this branch office. Van Vliet supplies all well-known makes (new and used) such as Daf, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes, Renault, Scania and Volvo.
