San Arts and Crafts is a community-oriented enterprised and a member of Kuru Family of Organistaions based in the townhip of Ghanzi. The organization works to support grassroots development initiatives in 16 settlements in the Ghanzi and Kgalagadi Districts of Botswana. Through many income generation projects more than 900 primarily female producers in the region are now able to maintain sustainable livelihoods.
The marketing of traditionally inspired Kalahari Bushman Products is allowing the unique culture of the San to spread through arts, crafts and other products. Through the sale of these products, the marginalized San producers are able to earn a living without compromising the culture they have worked so hard to preserve.
We are regularly Selling: ostrich eggshell bracelets, ostrich eggshell keyring, traditionally made dolls, ostrich eggshell necklaces, traditional bow and arrow, dancing rattles, ostrich eggshell earings, traditional hunting sets, ostrich eggshell anklets. |
