Features
Smelting:
- Components: high heat strength, high hardness, good wearing resistance
- Technic: EAF+LF+VD+ESR, produced high purity and good performance steels.
Heat Treatment:
- Anneal: 860-890℃, Hardness: ≦229HB
- Quenching: 1020-1050℃, oil cooling or air cooling
- Tempering: 560-580℃, Hardness: 47-49HRC, and tempering twice
- Hardness: 56-58HRC
- It is annealed before ex-factory, which ensure good metallographic structure, proper hardness and good workability. There is no need to anneal again.
- But It must be re-annealed if reforged, as the original organization and performance are destroyed after reforged, and the forging stress increased.
- Normally it will be annealed twice and the temperature of the second annealed is 20℃ lower than the first one.

- good toughness, thermal fatigue property and wearing-resistance
- light deformed while heat treatment
2. Applications
It is widely used in hot extruding dies, forging dies, molds of forging press dies, forging machines dies and inserts and die-casting molds made of Alumium, Copper and Alloys.
