HOTCAN ® Self-Heating Ready Meals have been manufactured in Derbyshire for over 25 years, supplieing Emergency Servises a hot meal ready in 10-12 minutes that's as easy as one, two three—open the can, pierce the rim, stir occasionally—that's all you have to do. Hotcan® requires no preparation and each Hotcan® contains an individual portion, so wastage and over or under catering can be eliminated,
A well balanced, nutritious meal that requires no outside heat source or power to provide a hot meal in less than 12 minutes. Simple, quick and totally sate to use, Hotcan® represents a real breakthrough in the ready prepared food market and is the ideal catering solution especially in all those places where conventional cooking facilities are not available.
Each Hotcan contains a 400g (minimum) meal in an easy-open can, which is enclosed within a second can to provide the heating system, which is a natural reaction between non-toxic components. It does not require refrigeration or any special storage facilities and has a shelf life of three years.
Hotcan® is currently available in twelve varieties, including two suitable for vegetarians: sausage and beans; all day breakfast; beef casserole; Irish stew; chicken casserole; vegetable curry; vegetable chilli. Pasta twists with tuna; sausage N wedges; bombay balti; penne pasta & meatballs; italan meat feast.
Hotcan® food is provided in a 400g ring pull easy open end can, by the following food canneries; Premier Foods Plc, HP, Crosse & Blackwell, Westlers Foods Limited and Simpson Ready Foods limited.
We also produced Hotcans® under own labels for canneries in Germany; Austria and the Middle East and Asia.
