Red Delicious:
Bright to dark red, sometimes striped. Easily recognized by knobs at base. Mild, sweet and juicy. America's favorite snacking apple. Use fresh in salads, garnishes, fruit trays and out of hand.

Golden Delicious:
Golden to light yellow-green, sometimes with pink blush. Rich mellow flavor. Tender skin, preferred "all purpose" cooking apple. Retains shape and tastes rich when baked or cooked. Wonderful for salads and fresh eating.

Fuji:
From yellow-green with red highlights to nearly solid red. Sweet, mild, crisp and juicy. Excellent eaten fresh, fine for cooking.

Gala:
Yellow-orange under red striping to nearly solid red. Sweet and aromatic, rich full flavor. At there best used fresh, out of hand or in salads. Galas are just the right size to tuck into pocket, purse or briefcase.

Jonagold:
Bright red over gold. Outstanding sweet/tart flavor. Crisp juicy flesh, tender skin. Wonderful fresh and in salads, fine for cooking and baking.
