El Saada Sweet Confectionery is a leading manufacturer of halva and tehina in Egypt since 1949. Both halva and tahina sesame seeds. El saada halva is available in chocolate, with several nuts and dried fruits (cherries) in varies attractive packages. tahina is made from roasted powdered sesame.

Halva is favorite dessert in the Middle Eastern food. Served with coffee or tea, it is the perfect ending to any meal. Halva is eaten as a filling in sandwiches made from pita bread. It is known there as “Halawa Tahinia”. It’s made from tahini (sesame seed paste), combined with sugar, and shaped into blocks. Many additions and variations exist, such as halwa with pistachios, halwa with chocolate, halwa with hazelnuts, and more. Because it is rich in calories and filling, and not expensive, it is a staple of the working class. It also needs no fridge to keep for along time.

One of the basic ingredients of Middle Eastern food, tahina is an oily paste made from crushed sesame seeds. It is used a variety of foods such as hummus and babaghanush as well as on it’s owns as a condiment.

Our confectioner’s art is obvious as we can create a wide variety of tastes and textures, as variations on few essential ingredients sugar, chocolate, nuts, milk and butter. Ground sesam seed butter, or tahina, provides, a characteristic falvour, and its combination of oil and fiber contributes to variety novel textures.
