• Heat pumps use the same basic principle as that employed in a refrigerator or freezer but in reverse
• Works by extracting low-grade heat from the ambient air
• Unit utilizes a heat exchanger coupled with a fan
• Refrigerator rejects heat from the contents to keeps cool, a heat pump uses this heat to heat water to provide for space heating or sanitary hot water
• To be able to integrate with energy systems such as solar, boiler
• Can be used for apartment, school, hospital, swimming pool and hotel, etc
