Appalachian Star Ruby Collection, 4 stunning museum quality gems, weighing an incredible 342.53 carats. The largest of the 4 in the collection, the Appalachian Star, weighing in at 139.43 carats, is actually larger and of better quality than the Rosser Reeves Star Ruby on display in the Smithsonian Institute.
These have been displayed outside US and featured at the Natural History Museum of London.
The 2006 appraised value of the collection, which is the "asking" price, is $91,298,900, however, some of the 2007 Star ruby sales recorded by Christies and Sotheby's suggests that the current appraised value may indeed be in the $120MM to $150MM range.
