The policy can be sold for cash right after the policy is set up, which is usually 45- 60 days from origination. Or if the insured holds onto the policy for a few years before selling it the amount they will get in cash will be more. Policies can be sold for between 3-10% of face value.
By borrowing the money to pay the life insurance premiums, the insured frees up capital that can be used more efficiently. The use of premium financing may lower out-of-pocket costs and potential gift taxes.
