XLPE Cable Manufacturing Standards

IEC60502-2009 Power cables with extruded insulationand their accessories for rated voltages from 1kv (Um=1.2kv) up to 30kn (Um=36kv)



XLPE Cable Applications

- Rated voltage from Uo/U (Um) 3.6/6 (7.2) KV to26/35 (40.5) KV

-Armored cable is suitable for burying in ground. Able to bear external mechanical force but not large pulling force

-None armored cable suitable for layingindoors and outdoors. Able to bear a certain traction during installation, butnot external mechanical forces. Laying single core cable in magnetic ducts isnot allowed.

-Steel tape armoured and steel wire armoured and aluminum wire armoured.

XLEP Cable Installation

-The long time operating temperature shallnot exceed 90°C, Conductorshort circuit temperature for 5 seconds shall not exceed 250°C.

-Installation temperature requires above 0°C,

-The bending radius shall not less than 10time of the cable’s O.D.
